Join us for a two-day conference focused on Food Systems, Community Health, and Well-Being.
Earn 14 continuing education (CE) hours for nurses while exploring important environmental and community health topics.
This conference is also open to Public and Community Health Educators interested in expanding their knowledge and bringing information back to the communities they serve.
The conference will be free, thanks to available funding. Space is limited to 50 participants.

Day One — Friday, October 16, 2026
- Environmental Health — As nurses, we think about the “environment” holistically. It includes our physical and social environment; what we eat, drink, and breathe; exposures in homes, schools, work spaces, and communities; and how these interconnect with social determinants of health. In this hour-long session, we will explore how to think holistically and with hope about the future.
- Disaster Preparedness — Strengthening reaLunch — Lunch will be provided.
- Breakout Sessions — Academic, Practice, and Community Health perspectives.
- Awakening the Dreamer: with Dr. Barbara Sattler — Interactive session created by the Pachamama Alliance; examine what it means to be alive at this moment in history; Mother Earth and social justice; living on purpose as nurses, citizens, and community members.
- Friday Evening Dinner — Optional. RSVP for dinner — location TBA.
Day Two — Saturday, October 17, 2026
- Farmworker Health and Pesticides — Addressing health and safety for farmworkers and communities. (Additional info coming soon.)
- Water Quality and Quantity — Protecting and ensuring access to safe, clean water. (Additional info coming soon.)
