May 14 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Chemicals are used or applied to many of the products we interact with everyday, from cleaning products to clothing and furniture. While not all chemicals are toxic, some substances have the ability to become a physical or health hazard. There are classes of chemicals that resist degradation in the environment and bioaccumulate in fat tissue, bones, and the brain when consumed. Others are toxic at extremely low levels. The Toxic Chemical Committee focuses on educating nurses on potential exposures and supporting stronger protections against chemicals known to cause harm.
Team meetings are ongoing and meets every Second Tuesday of Every Month @ 3:00 pm PST.
